Hotel Complex

The project developed at a hotel complex in Mallorca in 2023 focuses on improving acoustic comfort in high-occupancy areas, where the guest experience largely depends on the balance between interior design, environmental comfort, and noise control. In contemporary hotels, acoustics are a key factor in guaranteeing well-being, rest, and a positive perception of the space.

In this intervention, Ideatec Advanced Acoustic Solutions implemented a combined solution based on the Ideaflow Baffles and Ideaflow Idealuz FL systems, both manufactured from recycled PET and applied to the ceilings of various areas within the complex. This combination allowed for the efficient addressing of the acoustic needs of spaces with diverse uses, ranging from common areas to circulation and social zones.

The main challenge of the project was managing the high reverberation typical of hotel spaces, which are characterized by large volumes, reflective materials, and a high turnover of users. The versatility of the Ideaflow systems made it possible to adapt the intervention to different types of spaces within the complex, optimizing acoustic performance without compromising the architectural aesthetics.

Ideaflow Baffles provide a lightweight, highly effective suspended solution for sound absorption, especially in large areas where controlling reverberation is fundamental. Meanwhile, Ideaflow Idealuz FL combines acoustic performance with a more continuous and integrated ceiling design, offering a visually discreet and functional solution. Both systems, thanks to their PET manufacturing, also contribute to a sustainability strategy through the use of recycled materials.

The project, located in Mallorca, reflects the importance of adapting acoustic solutions to hospitality environments where multiple activities and levels of demand coexist. The intervention significantly improves the sound quality of the spaces, reducing auditory fatigue and elevating the overall comfort of the guests.
