Casa Decor 2026 Auditorium

The Valpaint Auditorium project, presented at Casa Decor 2026 in Madrid, exemplifies how interior architecture, acoustics, and design can be integrated to create functional and emotionally impactful spaces. Designed by Miguel Muñoz, this space was conceived as an environment for presenting ideas, experiences, and encounters, where acoustic quality plays a fundamental role in the perception and use of the space.

In auditoriums and spaces intended for conferences, events, or presentations, speech intelligibility and reverberation control are essential to ensuring an optimal experience. For this reason, Ideatec Advanced Acoustic Solutions participated in the project by installing acoustic baffles and PET baseboards, a combination of solutions designed to optimize the space's sound performance without compromising the creativity and expressiveness of the interior design.

The project's main challenge was to create a visually appealing space while simultaneously offering high levels of acoustic comfort. Auditoriums typically accommodate large numbers of people and require precise control of sound reflections to ensure clear voice transmission and a balanced listening experience.

Acoustic baffles were incorporated as a key element in the ceiling, effectively absorbing sound waves and reducing reverberation. Thanks to their suspended design, they affect the entire volume of the room, improving sound clarity and lending a strong architectural identity to the space. In addition to their technical function, the baffles contribute to creating visual rhythm and depth, making them a high-impact design feature.

The project was complemented by the installation of PET baseboards, an innovative solution that combines acoustic absorption, surface protection, and contemporary design. Made from recycled PET materials, these elements contribute to the project's sustainability and improve acoustic comfort in areas of direct contact with users. Their integration into the walls reinforces the overall acoustic conditioning while adding texture and material richness to the space.

Located in Madrid, as part of Casa Decor 2026, the Valpaint Auditorium demonstrates how acoustic solutions can become an integral part of the architectural design. The combination of acoustic baffles and PET baseboards achieves a balance between technical performance, sustainability, and design, meeting the needs of contemporary public spaces.
