Pureza de María Inca school

The project developed at Colegio Pureza de María Inca in 2024, located in Mallorca, addresses the need to improve acoustic comfort in an educational environment where sound quality directly influences the focus, learning, and well-being of both students and teachers. Classrooms and common areas in schools often present high levels of reverberation due to hard surfaces, which hinders speech intelligibility and increases auditory fatigue.

To address this issue, Ideatec Advanced Acoustic Solutions implemented a solution based on the Ideaflow Baffles PET system, installed on the ceilings of the various intervention zones. This acoustic system, manufactured from recycled PET, stands out for its sound absorption capacity, lightness, and versatility in architectural applications, making it a particularly suitable solution for educational spaces.

The main objective of the project was to effectively reduce reverberation in classrooms and common areas, improving speech clarity and generating a more comfortable environment for academic activities. The incorporation of acoustic baffles suspended from the ceiling allows for action on the space's volume without reducing its useful height, which is especially important in existing school buildings.
