Copatlife Kitchen – Casa Decor 2024 | Acoustic treatment with Ideaflow PET Cubes

The project developed for the Copatlife Kitchen within Casa Decor 2024 represents an intervention where interior design, material innovation, and acoustics integrate to respond to an exhibition space of high aesthetic and functional demand. This environment, conceived as a contemporary signature kitchen, required an acoustic solution capable of controlling reverberation without altering the visual identity of the design.

In this intervention, Ideatec Advanced Acoustic Solutions provided a solution based on the Ideaflow PET Cubes system, installed on the ceiling of the space and finished in a marbled gray color. This material, manufactured from recycled PET, combines sustainability, acoustic performance, and aesthetic versatility, making it an ideal choice for projects where image and sound comfort must coexist in balance.

The main challenge of the project was to improve the acoustic quality in an open space with hard surfaces and multiple sources of sound reflection, typical of a designer kitchen in an exhibition setting. The incorporation of the Ideaflow Cubes modules allowed for the reduction of reverberation, softening the sound environment and improving the general perception of the space without interfering with the architectural language of the project.

The design of the space, developed by Virginia Albuja, focused on a contemporary and sober aesthetic, where the deep black of the KP27 finish of the acoustic ceiling integrates as another element of the whole, providing visual continuity and reinforcing the elegant atmosphere of the project.

The installation took place within the framework of Casa Decor 2024, one of the most relevant interior design events on the national and international scene, held in Madrid. This context demands solutions that not only solve technical needs but also provide added value to the design and the visitor experience.

Thanks to the application of Ideaflow PET Cubes, the Copatlife Kitchen achieves a balance between aesthetics, sustainability, and acoustic comfort. The result is a more pleasant, functional space consistent with current interior design trends, where acoustics are integrated as an essential part of the architectural project.
