Morlans Hotel

The project developed at the Hotel Morlans in Palma de Mallorca in 2021 focuses on improving acoustic comfort in a tourism-oriented hotel establishment, where the quality of the guest experience depends largely on the balance between interior design, environmental comfort, and noise control. In urban and holiday hotels, acoustic management is a key factor in guaranteeing rest, privacy, and a satisfactory stay.

In this intervention, Ideatec Advanced Acoustic Solutions implemented a combined solution based on the Idealux LT and Idealux FL systems, both applied to the ceilings of various areas of the hotel. This combination allowed for the efficient addressing of the acoustic needs of spaces with diverse uses, such as common areas, circulation zones, and lounge spaces.

The main challenge of the project was to reduce the reverberation generated by hard surfaces, large volumes, and the high occupancy characteristic of the hotel sector. These conditions typically lead to an increase in ambient noise that directly affects the users' perception of comfort. The incorporation of acoustic solutions in ceilings allows for effective action on the overall behavior of sound without reducing the functionality of the spaces.

The Idealux LT system provides an acoustic absorption solution with a refined finish, ideal for spaces seeking discreet and elegant integration. Meanwhile, Idealux FL offers a versatile alternative for ceilings with high acoustic requirements, combining technical performance and aesthetic continuity. The combination of both systems made it possible to adapt the intervention to the hotel's different needs, optimizing the acoustic result in each zone.

The project was executed by MG Integral, ensuring a precise installation aligned with the establishment's quality standards. The Hotel Morlans, located in Palma de Mallorca, is an example of how the incorporation of acoustic solutions can significantly improve the guest experience without altering the interior design identity.

The intervention allows for the reduction of auditory fatigue, improvement of conversation intelligibility, and the generation of a more comfortable environment in the different areas of the hotel. This project reinforces Ideatec's ability to develop acoustic solutions in the hospitality sector, where aesthetics and comfort must coexist in a balanced way.
